Harley Davidson 883 Iron
This year the Milwaukee based motorcycle company Harley Davidson have chosen to bring out a new version of the beloved 883. The modified version of this beautiful bike is known as the Harley Davidson 883 Iron and is based on the same design as its much larger counterpart called the Nightster.
This isn’t a motorcycle for those who like their gadgetry as it comes with no computer technology. Instead what you are given is a basic dashboard but is built to the same high standard of all Harley Davidson motorcycles you can purchase today.

Harley Davidson 883 Iron
So just what is so different about this machine compared to the other Harley Davidson 883 models one can purchase today?
Just as with all the 883 models the Iron is fitted with the same Evolution 883 cc V Twin engine. Plus like the Sportster 883 Low it has the same narrow steel frame, and the dual shock rear suspension system has been lowered. However, up front this machine is fitted with rubber fork boots to provide it with a much cooler retro look than the others.
Unfortunately this is not a bike designed for those who are tall in fact anyone over 5’ 10” will find it lacks legroom. However, the matte black paint finish is what makes this bike come with plenty of attitude. In fact this is going to be a bike that will stand out in a crowd no matter where it is ridden. Certainly for those who want a bike that looks great but has plenty of attitude as well this is the ideal machine for them to consider purchasing.
As mentioned previously the frame is the same as that on the 883 Low model however it has been shortened by 3 inches. So you will find that this machine is much easier to turn than some of the other models and helping to make it that little bit lighter as well. But be aware that its lock to lock steering radius unlike some other Harley Davidson machines is limited so you may finding turning in a tight configuration hard.
The reason that Harley Davidson chose to bring out this new version of the 883 was in order to attract much younger riders to their machines. As well as appealing aesthetically to the younger rider they will find that the price charged is very reasonable as well. Today you can expect to pay no more than $7,899 for this machine brand new from the shop.
